Members of Walled Lake Central’s Wind Ensemble traveled to DeVos Hall in Grand Rapids on Thursday January 20 to perform at the Michigan Music Conference. This is an event where only the best ensembles in Michigan come together to perform in front of prestigious musicians.

Groups who participated had to audition in order to get in, so the Wind Ensemble had been practicing hard in order to send in their best audition video over the past few months.

Their audition was very successful and the ensemble was very excited when they found out out that they had made it into the conference a few weeks ago. The Wind Ensemble also proved themselves as a group during their performance.  “It was really exciting when we got a standing ovation at the end because all of our hard work from in and outside of class had payed off,” said senior Ashley Condon.
