The high school football season has finally came to an end and we would like to acknowledge seniors Jack Gulvas (quarterback), Jacob Downey (defensive back), Derek Markland (defensive line), Parker Cole (wide receiver), Payton Meyer (running back), Kellen Branoff (linebacker,) and Damien Felton (running back) for standing out this season and making All-Conference.

Women’s golfs eventful season

Women’s golf has had a pretty eventful season this year. Their overall record was 7-7, but they were 4-1 in the Kensington Lakes Athletic Association’s (KLAA) North Division which put them in second place overall among WL Northern, WL Western, Waterford Kettering, Waterford Mott and Lakeland High School.

Winter Sports have awesome start to seasons

The winter sports season at Walled Lake Central fired up at the beginning of November. Holding tryouts and filling rosters were: women’s basketball, bowling, gymnastics, poms, cheerleading, ice hockey, and figure skating; men’s swim and dive, ice hockey, basketball, and wrestling; and men’s and women’s ski.

UofM and OSU rival takes the field

On November 26, the 2016 edition of the greatest rivalry in sports took place at Columbus, Ohio on the campus of the Ohio State University. For those unaware of the significance of the rivalry and of the venue, the University of Michigan and Ohio State University have played one another since 1897 and Michigan hasn’t beaten them since 2011. This rivalry has been deemed by many as the greatest rivalry in sports, and is often referred to as “The Game.”
