Walled Lake Central students work hard year-round to keep up with their academics, so to recognize their efforts Central held an Academic Awards Assembly for 10th and 11th grade students during SRT on Friday, March 28 in the auditorium.
Assistant Principal Michael Fray welcomed the group and Deputy Superintendent Chris Delgado spoke to the students and proud parents briefly. The ceremony recognized the students’ academic achievements, and the individuals were presented with their academic letter or pin.
“I’m very honored to be on the honor role. I work very hard to keep my grades up and I hope I can keep pursuing that,” said sophomore Farah Sedki.
The Academic Awards Assembly was first introduced last year and was very well received.
Due to the success with the assembly in the past years, it’s clear the ceremony will continue to be a tradition at Central.
