With December right around the corner, anticipation for winter is building at Central. Students are looking forward to many different activities and the upcoming holidays.
The holiday season is an opportunity to spend time with family and give back to others. Right now, Central is starting to give back by hosting the canned food drive and holiday gift drive, which spreads joy to many families. “It’s amazing to think about how much we contribute to the Hospitality House. Even just a dollar can go such a long way to provide meals for families in need.” said senior student council member Shannon Pincheck
All Walled Lake Central students are counting down the days until our week off for winter break. Many people take this opportunity of no school to travel, visit family, or go on vacation. “I am looking forward to spending time with my grandparents who I haven’t seen in awhile. They live in Naples, Florida and the holiday season is the perfect time to go visit,” said junior Erin Loughrey.
Others just cannot wait for the cold weather and snow. It provides for activities such as skiing snowboarding and even sledding. “I really hope we get a lot of snow this year for ski team, since we did not get a lot of snow last year,” said junior Olivia Orr. “A lot of snow would be awesome because who doesn’t love snow days,” said sophomore Taylor Davis.
Winter is a season full of excitement for Central students, and it will be here before we know it!
