Beginning October 1, 2019, thousands of high school students across the nation will begin the process of filing their 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). But what is the FAFSA, and is this the only financial aid resource available to students? Does the state of Michigan offer any financial aid programs? How can students maximize their financial aid resources to ultimately make college affordable?
To answer these questions and more, the Walled Lake Consolidated School District is hosting the “Paying For College Information Night” of Tuesday, September 24, 2019. The event will take place in Walled Lake Western’s Auditorium from 6:30PM – 8:00PM. Here, Oakland University’s Senior Financial Aid Outreach Advisor Gref Ashe will “discuss valuable information about scholarships, grants, and other aid.”
This event is open to all students, but it is especially important for seniors and their parents to attend this information session. Bring lots of questions!
