Country music show to come to Detroit

Detroit’s number one country station, 99.5 WYCD, is hosting their annual Ten Man Jam on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. The Ten Man Jam brings ten country acts to one stage, for one night.

This year, the free concert is featuring headliners, Darius Rucker and Jerrod Niemann along with eight opening acts: Dan + Shay, Lindsay Ell, Will Hoge, Tyler Farr, David Naill, Thomas Rhett, American Young, and Cole Swindell.

This event is very exclusive and tickets cannot be purchased; they can only be won by calling the radio station or winning them from selected ticket-drop locations throughout the Metro Detroit area. Some of the ticket drop locations include the MetroPCS in Clinton Township, Big Boy in Rochester, and the Community Financial Credit Union in Plymouth. 99.5 has not set amount of tickets that can be given away, as the Royal Oak Music Theatre is mostly general admission seating.

“I haven’t gotten tickets yet, but I hope to be lucky and win them! I am trying to go to all the ticket drop locations I can before the tickets run out,” Ladywood High School Senior, Lindsey Wagner explained, “I want to go so badly, especially for Darius Rucker, Thomas Rhett, and Cole Swindell.

Tickets are being given away until the day of the event and only the most dedicated of country music fans will be in the audience.
