If you are looking for a way to get together with your closest friends and celebrate Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving is the best solution. This is a great way to show friends how thankful you are for them. This trend started around two years ago when it spread in things such ads and charity promotions.

Friendsgiving isn’t usually a replacement for the traditional family gatherings. Instead, Friendsgivings are held in addition to the holiday. It is typically celebrated during the weeks before Thanksgiving.

Friendsgiving is a tradition that Senior Kayla Bally looks forward to celebrating every year with her closest friends. “There was about ten girls at our friendsgiving celebration this year. It was a ton of fun! We had mashed potatoes, lasagna, casserole, ham, hummus, pasta salad, caramel apples, pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice milkshakes and a tray from Princess Mediterranean Grill. We played Cards Against Humanity and put together a Mannequin Challenge video,” said Bally.

Senior Deena Hakim is also a part of this group of friends that follow friendsgiving. She says that this get-together is usually planned through a group message.  “We all get together to have a good time. We celebrate friendsgiving every year and it lasts about 4 hours,” said Hakim.
