Walled Lake Northern hosted the 17th annual Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration on Monday January 16, 2017 in respect of diversity.
At the celebration there was food, cultural presentations, and people from all over the Walled Lake region. One of the speakers at the event was Reverend Faith Fowler. Fowler spoke on the topic of the event “seeing the world through the different eyes.
This celebration was to support Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s vision of diversity. One of the kids who went was junior Mariam Denha. Denha said “It was fantastic hands down it was the best experience of my life to see all of those different cultures all in one place.”
