Sideline Cheer places second at meet

WLC’s cheerleaders came in second in their pool at a competition at Western on January 21.

“I think I did really well today and so did the team,” said junior Sydney Tinson after the competition. “At the next competition I’m hoping we get first place.”

There were 17 teams at the event, but Central was only in a pool with Salem and Milford. Overall the meet went really well and some people even achieved their personal best for example sophomore Carly Miller stuck two back tucks in a row! “It was unexpected,” said Miller.

The team has been working nonstop since November to perfect their rounds and during this competition, the hard work had finally paid off. “We worked hard and never quit. We did a good job focusing on making ourselves the best we could be,” said sophomore Sarah Abrams.
