Senior Kyle Weir has recently committed to Calvin College to play baseball. Weir verbally committed on December 27, 2016 and is scheduled to start to start team workouts with the program in February. Official team practices are set to start this August and lead into the start of Weir’s freshman year.

Weir has been playing baseball for most of his life and has been on Walled Lake Central’s varsity baseball team for two years now. Weir said that the process of recruitment was a particularly stressful one. “It’s really intimidating because you’re all on your own. You have to have those conversations with the coaches and it just is weird because you have to step out of your comfort zone to make those connections.”

On the other hand, Weir looks forward to playing baseball at Calvin College and is excited to take this important step in his life.
