Love is in the air this time of year as Valentine’s Day is rounding the corner, falling on Tuesday, February 14th this year. The couple-oriented holiday isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but others can’t wait.
Some couples go out. For those not part of a couple, it’s the best time to take advantage of asking your crush if they have any plans. On the other hand, it could be the night where you go get that tub of Moose Tracks ice cream, curl up with a box of tissues and watch The Notebook in the comforts of your own home. You could be looking forward to getting that special someone flowers and chocolate or you could be looking forward to the after Valentine’s Day sale on everything to stock up until next year.
Junior Madison Rutterbush’s plans for Valentine’s day are different from last year. Rutterbush said that “this year for Valentine’s Day, I have to work my shift at Buddy’s Pizza 4-9; so, I don’t really get to do anything special this year.”
From a different perspective, Senior Alexis Kokko claims that her plans include “going out with my boyfriend, i’m pretty sure we plan on going to dinner and a movie before he goes back to college.”
On the other hand, for the perfect Valentine’s Day night in, Freshman Brittany Wertman said that her plans are to “hangout with my friends and just watch movies at my house instead of going out, which is exactly what I want.”
So whether it’s your super fun night out or your night in, everyone’s Valentine’s Day this year is going to be spent doing anything but what actually goes on in a Valentine’s Day romantic movie.
