Walled Lake Central’s Spanish Club just recently hit it off and is still welcoming members who have a passion for Spanish.
The meetings are in Spanish teacher and Club Sponsor Cindy Collins’s room in B208. The meetings are irregular, so further announcements will be made when the next one will be.
“We’re full of a participating and devoted group of students,” explained senior PR officer Joel Todd. “There are also lots of opportunities to make new friends in both the meetings and the field trips.”
The Day of the Dead party is coming up on Tuesday, November 5, which is a Spanish celebration similar to Halloween.
“The party will most likely be in the cafeteria after school at 2:30, but we will make the final announcements for it soon,” said senior PR officer Heather Martin. “We eat Spanish food and learn how to salsa dance.”
“Spanish Club is a lot of fun and it gives new ways to experience Spanish culture,” agreed both Todd and Martin.
