It’s time for girls to take over the football field in the annual Powderpuff game. This year it will take place on the Walled Lake Central football field on Friday, November 11 at 7 p.m.
Powderpuff gives girls an opportunity to play football. Team members from Central’s varsity football team are the coaches while the girls are the players. The opportunity is only offered to upperclassmen and the teams are divided by grade. It is Juniors vs Seniors, and all comes down to who rules the school. “It’s a really fun opportunity and we have great coaches,” senior Alexis Kokko said.
The practices are taking place from 7-8pm on October 20, 27, November 1, 3, and 10. After all this practice the girls are excited to show off what they have worked on, so everyone is welcome to come out and support the girls.
