Holiday gift drive is back again

The holiday season is just around the corner and it is the perfect time to give back to the community and children in need. Many kids this year will not have a chance to celebrate these holidays, nor will they be expecting to receive any gifts at all. That’s where Walled Lake Central comes in.

The annual Holiday Gift Drive is an important charity event that is an opportunity for Central students to give children a new gift and a smile this season. It will take place now through December 16, and the donation process will be carried out at all three lunch periods.

Senior Amanda Ling, Co-Vice President of Student Council, is the head of this cause. “It’s a good way to give back around this time of the year,” she said.

Ling explained that at lunch, there will be a binder full of kids names, grades K-3. You can pick a kid out of the list, and that will be your designated child to buy a new gift and outfit for. Don’t worry about having to pick out the perfect present because each kid has a wish list that you can pick from.

The Holiday Gift Drive is a great way to give back to children who are less fortunate and deserve to smile this holiday season. Signing up to participate in donating will be at lunch. The holidays are for giving, and this is a good way to bring smile and joy to children in need.
