As the holidays approach, people begin to look forward to attending holiday themed events such as play, musicals, or concerts. The Collage Concert, the annual wintertime concert, took place on two nights, Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9 at 7:30pm. It featured different types of winter/holiday songs.
This concert included a combination of the WLC bands, orchestras, and choirs. Songs ranged anywhere from classical to Christmas music. A few of the featured songs were “Harvest Hymn”, “All is Calm”, and “Do you Hear What I Hear”.
Junior Alexandra Claybaugh is a chamber singer in choir and her favorite part of the Collage Concert was hearing all the musical talent in Walled Lake Central come together for one big concert. “I love singing Christmas music and spreading Christmas cheer,” said Claybaugh.
Senior Grayson Combs plays the trumpet in wind ensemble. “It feels bittersweet to be performing in my final collage concert, I’ll miss it a lot. I really enjoyed having this opportunity,” said Combs.
