Walled Lake Varsity Gymnastics Held their first home meet against Farmington and West Bloomfield on Tuesday, December 13. The result of the meet was Farmington in first, Western and Norther was second, West Bloomfield was third, and Central was fourth.
Over the weekend of December 10th and 11th, Walled Lake received about 7 inches of snow and, best of all, a snow day was called for Monday, December 12.
As the holidays approach, people begin to look forward to attending holiday themed events such as play, musicals, or concerts. The Collage Concert, the annual wintertime concert, took place on two nights, Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9 at 7:30pm. It featured different types of winter/holiday songs.
Secret Santa is a Christmas tradition in which members of a group are randomly assigned a person to give a gift to. The identity of the gift giver is not to be revealed. Secret Santa has been a part of WLC’s history for years through the choirs and other clubs.
The WLC Ski and Snowboard teams hosted their annual ski swap to raise money for the ski team on Saturday, November 12 from 9:00 am till 2:00 pm.
The high school football season has finally came to an end and we would like to acknowledge seniors Jack Gulvas (quarterback), Jacob Downey (defensive back), Derek Markland (defensive line), Parker Cole (wide receiver), Payton Meyer (running back), Kellen Branoff (linebacker,) and Damien Felton (running back) for standing out this season and making All-Conference.
Walled Lake Central’s women’s gymnastics team took on combined teams from WL Northern/Western, Lakeland/Milford A and Lakeland/Milford B in a four-team meet at Milford High School on December 3. Though they worked hard, Central placed fourth place behind Lakeland/Milford A, who took first, Northern/Western who took second, and Lakeland/Milford B, who took third .
WLC Choirs, Band and Orchestra will come together for their annual Collage Concert on December 8 and 9 at 7:00 p.m in Walled Lake Central’s Auditorium.
