A lot can happen in a year. Coming into the new year, all of Commerce Township got a shocking surprise. The well known, old Commerce drive-in movie sign was tagged. The graffiti wasn’t just a symbol but a statement, “A lot can happen in a year.”

This message resonated with community members in different ways, whether prompted thinking about what’s in store for this year or even concluding your thoughts on 2016.

This vandalism resonated with one Commerce Township resident and junior Jessica Kreuzer. “I think it was kind of stupid for whoever did it, but I think it was just a statement not something harmful.”

So whether it’s the change of a new year or a change in scenery, 2017 has already been an eventful year.
