Today, March 8, marks the celebration created for women: International Women’s Day. On this day, women unite and stand together for the human rights they deserve.

Women are feeling the love today because it reminds them to be proud of who they are and how much they have gained over the centuries. Women like Frida Kahlo, Rosa Parks, and Eleanor Roosevelt are being celebrated on this day for all that they have done to help women receive the civil rights that they should have.

Many people have come together on social media and left their thoughts about this day and how important it is. One of these people is senior Michelle Raytman who said, “Happy International Women’s Day to all of the incredible women in my life and in the world. I am so proud to be a woman and see all of the support, love, and strength that women share for one another.”
Women of all ages understand the importance of this day that is dedicated for themselves, their mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and their future daughters. freshman Danielle Treyger said, “I love this day because women are awesome. We are strong, powerful, and smart!” Also, senior Lauren Stabile said, “I think this day is a powerful day because it reminds both women and men to be proud and respect women for who they are and how much they have impacted our lives positively.”
